6-week series: Mindfulness-based Nature Connection
This 6-week series will be a deeper dive into nature-based mindfulness. This course has been developed by Mark Coleman, founder of Awake in the Wild of which I am a certified teacher of his. I hope to have this open for registration soon. I expect it will be held on Sundays from August 24 - October 5 (no class on Sept. 14 as that is my bird walk day at Mt. Pisgah. I plan to offer this on a sliding scale of $30 / $45 / $60. Check back by June for registration details.

Awake in the Wild Daily Sit on Zoom
Whether you are new to meditation or a long-time meditator, these guided nature-based Awake in the Wild meditations are sure to nourish your heart, mind, and body, and reconnect you to the Natural world of which you are intimately connected. Julia will be teaching the Awake in the Wild Daily Sits from Aug. 25 - 29, 2025 from 7:30 - 8:15AM Pacific Time. . These guided meditations are available online Mondays - Fridays on a donation basis. While sitting or walking outdoors is optimal, it’s fine to be near a window indoors.

Mt. Pisgah - Mindful Meandering
Join us for our June 2025 Mindful Meandering at Mt. Pisgah Arboretum on Sunday, June 22 from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Enjoy silent walks, guided meditations, nature poetry, and a sprinkling of rich conversation in different habitats. Bring a snack, water, and whatever else you’d like to be comfortable. Registration is recommended.

Mindful Movement Wednesday Class
Register for a single class or the popular 7-week series available in person and online. Julia’s Alignment Yoga classes focus on healthy alignment and range of motion as well as research techniques shown to maintain and improve bone density. This 7-week gentle yoga series is offered in-person as well as live-streamed via Zoom on Mondays and Wednesdays starting April 1 - May 15, 2024 from. 5:15 - 6:15pm. Pacific time. 6-week Mindfulness-based Nature Connection Course
6-Week Nature-Based Mindfulness Course: May 4 - June 15, 2025
Our whole being needs time to unwind and deeply connect with the natural world, to attune to our senses, and rekindle an intimate connection with the many expressions of life on this beautiful earth.
Over the course of six Sundays on the grounds of Mt. Pisgah, we will practice a variety of guided nature-based meditations while sitting, meandering, and lying down that you can practice anywhere (no previous meditation experience is necessary), there will be time for rich discussions with one another as well as some solo time.
Each session will include brief talks on topics like mindfulness in nature, embodiment and receptivity, curiosity, opening the portal of the heart, impermanence, interconnection with all Life, gratitude, and reciprocity.
Class dates & times: 8:30 - 11:00 May 4, 18, 25, June 1, 15, and 22.

Bird Walk at Mt. Pisgah
Come enjoy a morning watching and listening to birds at Mt. Pisgah. Julia Siporin and Mieko Aoki will guide you through a gentle walk along the river trails. Winter Walks start at 9:00am (Nov - Feb.)

Nature-based mindfulness meditation practices can help attune your senses to the simple delights and serenity of the natural world. This class, for everybody - not just AARP members, will teach you various sensory awareness practices and offer guided mindfulness-based meditations. FREE. You must register for each class.
